We are excited to announce the release of Speedgain for Databases v1.7.0! Our team has been diligently working to bring you new features, improvements, and fixes to enhance your database observability experience. Here's a detailed look at what's new in this version:

System and Security Enhancements

  • Upgraded Core Technologies: We've updated Java, Tomcat, Spring, Grafana, and all dependencies to their latest patches. These updates ensure improved performance, security, and stability across the platform.

User Interface Improvements

  • Improved S4DBs Configuration: Configuration tabs in S4DBs are now presented as sortable tables, making it easier for you to organize and navigate your settings efficiently.
  • Annotation Switch: Each dashboard now features an annotation switch, defaulted to disable. This allows you to customize your annotation preferences with ease.
  • Minor Dashboard Enhancements: We’ve implemented several minor improvements to our dashboards, enhancing their overall usability and performance.

DB2 Dashboard Enhancements

  • Db2 Temp Usage Board: Added detailed information to provide more insights into your DB2 temporary storage usage.
  • Db2 Application Detail Board: Introduced a new status chart to give a clearer view of your DB2 application statuses.

Prometheus Datasource Improvements

  • Prometheus Datasources Flexibility: Prometheus datasources can now be set back to “no-login”, offering you greater control over your data source configurations.
  • Enhanced Error Messaging: We’ve improved the error messages for Prometheus datasources, making troubleshooting more straightforward and informative.

  • Updated Podman Installation Guide: Our Podman installation documentation has been thoroughly revised to provide clearer and more detailed instructions.
  • Streamlined Kubernetes based installations: The licensing process for Kubernetes installations has been simplified; licenses are now uploaded directly via the frontend.

  • License Upload Error: We’ve enhanced the error message that appeared during failed license uploads, ensuring a smoother process.
  • Collector Reconnect Fix: Addressed an issue where the collector would fail to reconnect after a timeout, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted monitoring.
